Degree apprenticeship opportunities

Apprentice Planning Officer

This is a new and exciting apprenticeship opportunity to earn a wage while studying for a Chartered Town Planner (Degree) apprenticeship over 60 months. You will spend most of your working week at work and at least 20% of your time in off-the-job study or training. Working with three teams across our Planning and Infrastructure Services you will:

  • assist in the work of the Strategic Planning, Planning Applications and Developer Contributions team
  • learn and grow to gain an understanding of our role in planning
  • gain in-depth knowledge of your chosen profession on the job whilst studying for a Chartered Town Planner (degree) apprenticeship qualification.

This is a fantastic role for anyone wishing to start their career in the planning field.

Training and development

You will also have access to our extensive suite of e-learning courses and our development framework. These consist of meetings with senior officers, politicians and meetings on key initiatives within the council – everything you need to gain a broad overview of the organisation.

We’ll help you achieve your ambitions as you help us achieve ours.

We are a flexible employer and offer hybrid working with opportunities to work flexibly from home and from one of our offices in Kent. Learn more about the benefits of working with us.
