Pay

Main Grade Educational Psychologist: £40,146 to £49,175 (Scale A – pay point 3 – 8) plus structured professional assessments. Starting salary will be on pay point 5.

As a newly appointed Educational Psychologist you would benefit from a one off ‘golden hello’ payment of £2,000 (pro rata).

Relocation packages

We offer up to a maximum of £8,000 to help you with relocating to live closer to your place of work (subject to eligibility).

Annual leave

27 days annual leave per year rising to 30 days after 5 years service.

Assistant Director and Principal Educational Psychologist

Our Assistant Director and Principal Educational Psychologist is Alison Farmer.

Alison is passionate about working in partnership with parents and enabling young people with special educational needs (SEN) to achieve fulfilled lives. She believes in the power of education to transform young people's life chances.

She started her career as a nursery teacher, became a specialist teacher in Kent and subsequently trained as an Educational Psychologist (EP).

Alison has been privileged to manage SEN and EP services in the London Boroughs of Camden, Kensington and Chelsea, Westminster, Hammersmith and Croydon.

She joined Kent in August 2021. Prior to joining Kent, she set up the Professional Tutoring Partnership Working for Real Group Ltd. in partnership with leading dyslexia organisations. They have provided subsidised tuition for more than 1,200 children across the country through the National Tutoring Programme.
