Assistant Director of Contest and Serious Organised Crime
Are you passionate about leading and managing strategies to combat terrorism and serious organised crime?
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic individual to lead, manage and develop all aspects of the Contest Strategy and Prevent Duty as defined by the Counter Terrorism and Security Act 2015. You will also lead and manage the Serious Organised Crime Team and be the designated Chair of the Kent and Medway Channel Panel.
You will have strategic management experience within a criminal justice service or adult/childrens service and the ideas and ambition to make a sustained difference to the people of Kent.
You demonstrate a thorough understanding of responsibilities and policies with respect to crime prevention, safeguarding, MAPPA, counter terrorism and serious organised crime (SOC) at a national and local level.
You will lead, direct and manage our Contest, Prevent, Channel and Serious Organised Crime activity across the county, primarily via partnership working internally across all directorates and externally with partner agencies.
